At Safety PAL (PLAN ACT LEARN) we have been looking forward to the World Mental Health Day 2020, so we can present the world with new health and wellbeing upgrades.

Saturday 10th October 2020 is the international day for global mental health education and awareness.

Here at Safety PAL, we have been doing our utmost to increase our award-winning suite of tools to better support, monitor, and manage your workers mental health and wellbeing.

This article is not to highlight the wide range of mental health problems, nor detail the hidden problem which develops from hidden feelings associated with the stigma of mental health…

Instead, Safety PAL wants to concentrate on crucial deliverables, ways to help you and your team monitor, control and support all your workers from the most basic principles of mental health and wellbeing up to the more serious stages of the mental health scale.

Better-informed choices and support.

Workers mental health doesn’t always remain the same; different circumstances and environments create various problems. Hence, it’s imperative to provide your managers with tools to monitor the worker as the individual’s they are.

World Mental Health Day 2020 aims to bring about positive change, to highlight how businesses need to better communicate with workers, to provide essential information and educate them to control anxieties and even supporting appropriate treatment.

To help businesses bring about positive change, we don’t need to provide you with more information; we need to help you deliver vital information and monitor workers wellbeing irrespective of the time of day or their location.

Are mental health awareness sessions a perfect fit?

Is putting 10-20 people into a room and openly discussing mental health the best fit for companies?

Are these meetings a robust solution in reducing the risk, or are they more biased about promoting a Company’s interaction with workplace mental health i.e  ‘Mental Health Awareness Days’?

And lastly, do these sessions fulfil the employer’s legal requirements?

All businesses need an effective and efficient solution which doesn’t allow a vulnerable worker to remain hidden, doesn’t allow workers to miss out on vital and engaging support and a new way which doesn’t incur operational time pressures.
