Three separate recognitions. A lot of people to thank 🏆

It’s been a rather unexpected few weeks at Safety PAL.
We’ve always been far more comfortable talking about our clients, the work we’re doing and what we’re developing next than talking about ourselves. But now and then, it’s important to stop and recognise how far you’ve come.
After more than 12 years of developing Safety PAL, supporting organisations, and continually looking for ways to make health and safety simpler, smarter, and faster, we’ve recently been given three very good reasons to do exactly that.
In just a few weeks, Safety PAL has received three separate pieces of recognition — including an award we’ve now received for the second consecutive year and a very special individual recognition for our founder, Karl Spencer.
Each one means something slightly different to us. Together, they mean a great deal.

Recognised in the SME500 UK 2026 Awards

The first bit of good news arrived when Safety PAL was recognised in the SME500 UK 2026 Awards.
For a business that has grown largely through relationships, recommendations and organisations choosing to continue working with us, recognition like this means a lot.
Safety PAL has never been about simply creating another piece of software. For more than a decade, we’ve listened to the people managing health and safety, learnt from the organisations using the platform, and kept developing Safety PAL around the realities they face every day.
The platform today looks very different from the one we started with. But its purpose hasn’t changed.
Help organisations manage health and safety better, while making the process simpler for the people responsible.
The whole team was incredibly proud to have that work recognised externally.

Two years running: E2 Media Award of Excellence 2026

Then came another surprise. Safety PAL received the E2 Media Award of Excellence 2026 — making this the second year in a row we’ve received the award.
Being recognised once is something to celebrate. Being recognised the following year again feels particularly special. A lot can change in twelve months, and standing still has never really been an option for us.
We’ve continued developing the platform, introducing new functionality, supporting clients both remotely and on site, creating training and resources, listening to feedback, and looking for ways to improve.
There is always another idea being discussed, another improvement being made or another problem we’re trying to solve.
So we don’t take receiving the Award of Excellence for a second year for granted.
For us, it’s a lovely reminder that continual improvement isn’t just something we talk about in health and safety — it’s something we try to practise as a business too.

And then came something a little more personal…

Our third piece of recognition was slightly different. This time, the award wasn’t for Safety PAL itself. It was for the person who started it.
Karl Spencer, founder of Safety PAL, was named “Influential Man in Business – Safety Inspections 2026 – UK” by Innervision Global.
The recognition celebrates Karl’s leadership, innovation and impact in the sector, with the judging panel highlighting consistently positive client feedback, the quality of customer service and his commitment to helping organisations achieve first-class results.
But what makes this award particularly special is that it looks beyond commercial success.
The panel also recognised Karl’s passion, integrity, and determination; his ability to continually evolve in an ever-changing industry; and his commitment to supporting other businesses and the wider business community.
For those of us who work alongside Karl, that recognition feels especially meaningful because Safety PAL didn’t appear overnight.
Behind it are more than 12 years of conversations, ideas, site visits, demonstrations, client calls, decisions, challenges and constant development — all driven by a belief that there had to be a simpler, smarter and faster way to manage health & safety.
Safety PAL might be the name on the platform. But this particular award has Karl’s name on it — and we think that’s thoroughly deserved.

Awards aren’t why we do it.

Three awards in a matter of weeks is something we’re incredibly proud of. But awards have never been the goal. What matters to us hasn’t really changed.
It’s answering the phone when a client needs help. It’s listening when somebody tells us something could work better. It’s going out to the site when that’s what is needed.
It’s developing something because it solves a genuine problem — not simply because it gives us another feature to advertise.
It’s creating resources that help people, sharing important safety information and continuing to invest in making Safety PAL better.
And ultimately, it’s helping organisations protect their people and giving those responsible for health and safety a little more confidence that things aren’t falling through the cracks.
That’s the work behind the awards.

What does this mean for our clients?

Awards are lovely to receive, but for us, the real value is in the work and service behind them. With these latest achievements, Safety PAL is now a 12-time award-winning health and safety software provider, trusted by thousands of organisations.
If you’re already a client, we hope that gives you even more confidence that you’ve chosen a platform committed to continually improving.
And if you’re considering Safety PAL, come and see for yourself what sets us apart. No generic demonstrations or hard sales pitches — just a tailored look at your organisation, how you currently manage health and safety, and where Safety PAL could help.
Don’t judge us by the awards. Judge us by what Safety PAL can do for you.

Many people are behind those three trophies.

Although the awards might have Safety PAL — and now Karl — written on them, none of this happens because of one person. Our clients have played an enormous part in shaping what Safety PAL has become.
They’ve challenged us, given us feedback, recommended us, trusted us with their businesses and, in many cases, been with us for years.
Then there are the people behind Safety PAL who continue to support those clients and turn ideas into something that actually works. So rather than finishing this by talking about awards, we’d rather finish by saying thank you.
To our clients, our team, our partners, the organisations that recommend us and everyone who has supported Safety PAL over the years:
Thank you for being part of it.
Three awards in a few weeks have certainly given us a reason to stop and appreciate how far we’ve come. Now we’ll get back to working on where we’re going next.
Making health and safety simpler, smarter and faster.

Thank you from the Safety PAL Team 💙 🧡 💜
