It is not just something new for 2021, but an original philosophy introduced from our initial start-up 2015 is to review all positive and negative cases to sustain our innovation and excellence.

Only by reconstructing each incident with Safety PAL (PLAN ACT LEARN) as a structured part of the failed company’s business management tool can Safety PAL prevail and continue to carve new roads in health and safety and business management.

From these reconstructions, there are three possible outcomes, these are:

1. Prevented: With Safety PAL working in the organisation, the incident was averted, as the injured person was better trained, knowledgeable and had the information required to complete the task safely.
2. Protected: With Safety PAL implemented, the organisation successfully defended a claim by proving the body corporate had done so far as is reasonably practicable.
3. Development: Safety PAL was not able to either prevent or protect. – Alternatives are required.

Positive Alternatives to Prevent and Protect.

Under these rare occurrences (number three above), if Safety PAL could not prevent the incident or protect the business from prosecution, we would use our logical thinking problem-solving style to dig deeper and explore wider.

The information gathered would reveal the effects the failure/s had on the environment and the workforce. And the most critical element – what the law required. Paramount, as the law, is the only non-variable in a logical problem-solving style.

With a dynamic team armed with a cause and effect list, a review process can begin, looking at positive alternatives and the possible consequences of each of these alternatives.

The team can now set to work to create new modules, ensuring our mission statement;

‘all accidents can be either prevented or at the least, the Company or individual directors are protected’.

So what has Safety PAL seen as essential improvements from ongoing investigations and assessments from 2020?

Improving the way businesses monitor workers time and wellbeing (including contractors)

Here are five subheadings from our findings and development :

1. Distances workers travel,
2. How long journeys take,
3. The time they started and finished,
4. Where did they travel to and from,
5. How were they feeling

These are challenging tasks to manage individually, but Safety PAL necessitates providing a solution while reducing management and workers time.

Furthermore, individual apps, spreadsheet, and programs need additional resource and inherently come with costs (that are not always obvious).

Not all apps, spreadsheets and programs solve these problems, and they tend not to be fully accessible by the people pertinent to the decisions.

Furthermore, the collated information and data provides vital analytics for the management team and business owners.

Finished for the day

Once the worker finishes, they log back in and can then Sign Out of the job.

Safety PAL asks about their destination and onward journey time.

In seconds, Safety PAL has completed the forms, data tables and updated the fatigue calculator.

Any job or project notes can be saved and automatically added to the job overview page.
